Star Fall

I just finished a book called Star Fall by Michael Cadnum(this is a greek myth so if you don't like greek myths this probably isn't the book for you). It's about the son of Apollo(the greek sun god) and the son of a mortal who's name is Phaeton. Phaeton is really fast but this is not enough, his father pays no attention to him(at least that's what he thinks) and the local towns people are starting to doubt that he is actually Apollo's son. So Phaeton decides to go on a journey to the gates of heaven at the end of the world wear his fathers castle lays. As he is traveling there he is gifted with the power to be as fast as the wind so he makes it to the end of the world in no time. When he gets to his fathers castle his father is so exited to see him that he promises to grant one wish whatever he wishes. So Phaeton decides that he wants to drive the chariot of the sun(AKA the sun). His father who swore that he would do whatever he wishes has to allow his son to drive the chariot, even though the horses who pull the chariot are much to strong for any mortal to control. Phaeton tries anyway, he ends up losing control and setting flame to the world but, Jupiter the god of the sky sends a rain to wash away the fire and kills Phaeton living his ashes in the river.
